Hi,
I use for my texts in LaTeX the MinionPro and the Myriad as the fonts for serif and sans-serif text. I create my PDFs vi DVI->PS and convert the PS with the Acrobat Distiller into a PDF.
As I observed now, the text rendered with the MinionPro isn't real text in the PDF anymore. I can not search it and if I mark it and copy/paste it into another editor it's just unreadable crap. But if I mark the text rendered with MyriadPro, its still real text that I can copy and search.
My question is: Why is the MinionPro text no real text anymore - even if its rendered properly?
Many Thanks for any hints
Konrad

Text is no text in PDF anymore ...
A problem that is caused by commercial fonts is always hard to comprehend. Perhaps it works if you do the conversion with Ghostscript. Adobe Distiller seems not to be very reliable in such tasks.
