I installed the new Miktex 2.8, and discovered that once again, as in the previous upgrades, it disabled the Winedt menu item for the Miktex update wizard, which is ESSENTIAL FOR MY WORK. I found Alex's instructions for fixing it (which involve modifying 3 entries in the WinEdt menu setup) and followed them, but the update wizard menu entry remained grayed out.
Any help on solving this recurring and annoying problem will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Venik,
Just make sure that there's a space between Run(|%$('TeX-Root');\miktex\bin\internal\copystart_admin.exe and "%$('TeX-Root');\miktex\bin\internal\miktex-update_admin.exe"|);
You may also need to leave the "Requires File field" empty.
