On September 1, 2009 the new MikTeX 2.8 has been released. As one major improvement it comes with an adapted version of the TeXworks IDE. More information about the new version can be found in the MiKTeX 2.8 Release Notes.

MiKTeX Releases

Yesterday the MiKTeX blog announced that MiKTeX 2.9 Beta is available. The main new feature is the incorporation of LuaTeX [1]. It can be downloaded on the MiKTeX Project page. Users are welcome to test and report possible bugs.

On October 9, the new MiKTeX 2.9 has officially been released. The release notes list as single highlight the integration of LuaTeX [1]. It can be downloaded on the MiKTeX Project page [2]. Among other upgrades now TeXworks 0.3 is shipped with the distribution.
