Hi,
I am facing a problem in embedding videos (.avi and .mpg) files in my pdf presentation slides made with beamer. I have used TexnicCenter and used Latex=>PS=>PDF while building the output. The command I used to call the videos from the PDF is \href{run:video.avi}{videolink}.
In the output pdf, the video is not getting linked and the media player does not open when I click on the video link.
Strangely, the videos seem to work fine when I use Prosper to create my presentation slides, again in PDF.
Am I making any mistake here? I am using Adobe reader 7 on Windows 2000, with MikTex 2.4.
Thanks in advance,
happyblueeyes.

Did you try the movie15 package as an alternative?
Also: upgrade MiKTeX to the 2.6 version.
