I had asked this question some time ago and there was not an answer. Maybe with the new version there is?

In summary: We have roaming profiles for Windows, so the Texniccenter build profiles will follow a person to whatever computer they log into. However, not all the computers have the same TeX package, pdf viewers, DVI viewers by design. This creates a problem since the build profiles from someone's roaming profile are only correct for the first computer they ever logged into.
Has any method for specifying machine-based build profiles instead of user-based profiles been discovered? What I would like to see is a way to have profiles specified per machine (in HKLM for instance) appear alongside the person's custom profiles. For people who care to customize their profiles, this would at least give a hint of how they should alter their custom profiles for that machine.
General ⇒ Texniccenter use on multiple computers
Re: Texniccenter use on multiple computers
AFAIK, the situation with profiles remains the same. You might consider making a feature suggestion to TC developers for upcoming ver. 2.0.
In the meantime I could sketch you a solution with wrapper launcher and swapping reg entries that should work. Let me know if you are interested in details.
Cheers,
Tomek
