The new Forum Face
Just wanted to say that. I really like the new aspect of the Forum. Thanks to Sven, to our Moderators localghost and Stefan_K and to all the members.

The new Forum Face
Wow! The new design looks very young and fresh. I'm sure our dear Administrator did a lot of hard work to renew the appearance of LaTeX Community. Salutes to Sven.
Best regards

Re: The new Forum Face
Congratulations on the new design. It is looking great!
A notable difference is the fixed width design of the forum. Personally I prefer more horizontal space for the posts. Maybe you could remove the right sidebar in the forum section to get more space?

Re: The new Forum Face
Anyone else find that their login only works for the forums but not the "front page"?

It works OK for me both in the "forum page" and in the "home page".josephwright wrote:Anyone else find that their login only works for the forums but not the "front page"?

Wow, the new look is really great, I love it! Thumbs up to Sven!
The site looks so much better!
Like Propell said, I also feel it kind of narrow. Anyway, a big step ahead!

Re: The new Forum Face
Hi all,
thanks for the positive feedback! I will take a closer look at the width issue. But for the first I need a night of sleep again, so it may take a few days

Try holding the shift key down while reloading the front page after logging in on the forum pages.josephwright wrote:Anyone else find that their login only works for the forums but not the "front page"?

Re: The new Forum Face
The new look is cleaner and more modern-looking, and the new Know-How section should be interesting.
Well done, and happy birthday to the board!

OK, now I have found a clean solution regarding the width: The page width will now scale to your browser window's width with some upper (~1200px) and lower (~830px) bounds to ensure a good layout.Keta wrote:Like Propell said, I also feel it kind of narrow. Anyway, a big step ahead!
This should fix your issues. (Maybe you need to hit reload to see the change?).
