Transfer existing text to new template

Post by simon2022 »

I made a paper in overleaf with a template from elsevier. It was rejected, I now want to hand in at springer.
How can I easily switch?

Even the definition of the authors differs. The only solution I see right know is to start from scratch and copy section by section.
I hoped that like for webdesign, text and design are somehow separated and it should be easy to switch. How can I achieve the transformation?

Transfer existing text to new template

Hi Simon,

welcome to the forum!

I would make a copy and then replace the complete preamble (filling in the required meta data such as author, title etc. ) Then, there may be obsolete template macros in the text which you can change one by one, hopefully not many.
