Hi all,
I'm a Linguistics student by profession and am trying to effect a transition from Word to LaTeX. I've been using LaTeX a little bit for amateur projects for a while, so I have some competency with some things (like how to put IPA symbols into my documents), but on other things I'm rather clueless about. I've decided I ought to try using it for my academic work just because of its better features so I've decided I ought to seek advice for when specific issues crop up, hence why I'm here now.
