General ⇒ cancel.sty not found; help please!

Hello,

I have a problem that I can not fix.
Let me start by telling you that I am a complete noob with this program, and when explaining things to me,... assume you are talking to an idiot. I don't really understand this program, but I need it for university.
I followed the professor's instructions to install it, which should give me a perfectly functional program, but apparently not. I've tried reinstalling it but it didn't help.

When I try to 'Build' a file, the program tells me " LaTeX error: File 'cancel.sty' not found. "
I've tried googling for an answer, but the only usable answer I've found told me to manually install it, which I did, but nothing has changed.

Please help me. I need to get this to work.
I have included the log file the program told me to check, in case it helps/is needed.

MikTeX tries to install the missing "cancel" package on-the-fly, but cannot reach its server via internet.

You could try to install it manually. Start the application "MikTeX Console", go to the "Packages" tab and try to install the "cancel" package there.
