Theses, Books, Title pages ⇒ masters-doctoral-thesis, consecutive footnotes

Hey,

I am using the masters-doctoral-thesis template and I have a question regarding the footnotes:
For every chapter, the footnotes start again with the number '1'.
Is it possible to change that to have consecutive footnotes through all chapters?
Or is that something that should not be done?

These settings in your document preamble will help:

\usepackage{chngcntr}
\counterwithout{footnote}{chapter}
