To the left of the edit window there is a small vertical window showing four items to be selected. In German these four items go from Datei öffnen (open file) to LaTeX. Clicking on one of the items selects the content of the window at the far left.
I would like to have displayed there the content of my own shortcut file. To get that I imagine throwing out one of the four items and replacing it by my file. In the kile help I could not find something pertinent.
Where is e.g. the file for LaTeX stored so that I could replace it by my own file?

Display own shortcuts
Hi Arno,
welcome to the forum!
Perhaps you can find something here:
I used Kile on Ubuntu a long time, now it's not installed anymore, as TeX Live brings TeXworks already. That's enough for me, usually. But Kile is great for bigger projects.

I do prefer kile as this allows own shortcut file which is essential for me as I type quite fast.Stefan Kottwitz wrote:I used Kile on Ubuntu a long time, now it's not installed anymore, as TeX Live brings TeXworks already. That's enough for me, usually. But Kile is great for bigger projects.
