Where to insert a space?

Post by odhage »

Sorry for cryptical subject.
If I have some words in bold ending with a colon (:) and want normal or italics after. There should be a space (blank) after the colon. Should that blank be in bold or normal?
\textbf{something:} something more
or
\textbf{something: }something more
I guess the blank is taking more or less space depending on style? It is a minor problem, but what is assumed correct? Is it different from language to language?

LaTeX stretches spaces, so it doesn't matter.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
