Please see the attached image. In this image you can see that it's two column article and you can also see that the one column is completely fill whereas other is almost full empty.
My question is how can I shift data of 1st column to second column before the end of first column sothat I can save atleast halfpage of current page and start the table from same page. Right now I have used \onecolumn command therefore table is appearing on another page. Also tell me how can I use the logntable in twocolumn environment without pagebreak.

Please show us a minimal working example to recreat your problem.

Longtale does not work in two-column mmode.
