General ⇒ Cannot add dictionary

I am using version 1.0 Stable RC1 in Windows 7.

I added dictionaries to C:\Program Files (x86)\TeXnicCenter\Language (both .dic and .aff files for each dictionary). But these dictionaries never appear in the Language dropdown box in Tools | Options | Spelling. Even after restarting TeXnicCenter, and even after rebooting, they never appear. What do I have to do to be able to use them?

I saw that this question has been asked a couple of times before in this forum, but never answered!
