Toolbar behaviour

Post by delycs »

Hi,

sometimes I have a problem with the behaviour of the toolbar. She changes her alignment if I open the IDE, like the screnshots. It happens only sometimes and i dont know whats the cause so I cant reproduce it.
I adjust like this:

sometimes I get this, when I start TC

It happens on all Systems I use.
#1 (development System) WinXP SP2 all updates, VS.NET2k3
#2 (macbook) WinXP SP2 all updates; same behaviour using Parallels Desktops Virtual Machine from OSX

Same problem here. I have experienced the behaviour described by delycs when working quite some time with a previous version of TeXnicCenter. I am now beginning to work on a new long document using the current version. This time I see ONE of the toolbars misalign EVERYTIME I start the program. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. After some time, it gets quite annoying having to sort the toolbars on every start of TeXnicCenter.

Hi,

there is already an other thread about this issue, see http://www.latex-community.org/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72.
It seems that some configurations work better than others, but they will still be disarranged from time to time.

I found quite a simple solution to my problem:

Do not maximize the TeXnixCenter-Window but resize it to fit the full screen instead. Now align the toolbars to your needs and close TeXnicCenter. After restart of the program, toolbars should have stayed in place. Now you can maximize the TeXnixCenter window and exit the program again. When now restarting, TeXnicCenter should already be maximized with toolbars in correct place.

Do not close TeXnicCenter when it is minimized.
