Configuration Issue with Package Manager

Post by ghostanime2001 »

I am using MiKTeX 2.9 x64 net installer on Windows 8 x64 with media center. I installed basic MiKTeX first, then I used package manager to install all packages. Right up to the end but before finishing installing the last package I receive an error message (see attachment). I clicked on "Copy info" and so I can add the problem report.

Code: Select all

Contact the MiKTeX maintainer.

the miktex maintainer isn't responding so maybe you can hopefully, if you know the answer, provide an answer to the topic ?

Configuration Issue with Package Manager

Perhaps call initexmf manually, after a reboot:

initexmf -u
initexmf --mkmaps

I have almost exactly the same problem only mine is x86 on Windows XP attempting to install Libertine fonts into MikTex. The installation fails with the OP's error (...\bin\initexmf.exe | ...\Core\Process.cpp | Line:305, etc.) After closing the resulting error message and the installation window, the package manager refreshes showing all available packages in the repository. Filtering for Libertine shows the package as 'installed'

Apologies if this isn't the most helpful post (I will try to follow up with MikTex as well) but I figured I'd let it be known that the OP isn't alone!
