General ⇒ TeXnicCenter Highlighting

Some setting changes in TeXnicCenter's Tools/Options/Text format fail to cause any change in the text. For example, I really need to have { } show in a different color, and ideally for everything in between { } to stay a different color, after typing is completed. This is done in Led, and it is a very useful feature. I am unable to do this in TeXnicCenter. Can someone help?
