General ⇒ PDF Output fails

I am getting following problem in TeXnicCenter window after compilation to get PDF output file:

[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")]

Cannot execute this command

This is a common error message. I have seen it often here in the forum. Have a look, for example, at

• TeXnicCenter "cannot execute the command"
• TeXnicCenter: DocOpen("%bm.pdf")Cannot execute the command
• Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
• Adobe 10 - Takes Two Attempts to open any Files
• Texniccenter + Adobe Reader 9 Problem
• Acrobat DDE commands for Latex=>PS=>PDF profile
• Error while opening a created pdf-file
• Cannot output to PDF!
• why Texniccenter does not work
• Can't generate pdf file
• No PDF Output

All (and more) deal with exactly this error message. Depending on the problem information given, some have been solved.

If you would have given further information, such as the used PDF viewer and its version, and the .log file, perhaps I could have said what's the reason. So, I just can recommend to use the forum search, and to see if some description is similar to your problem.
