glossaries | Integration of "makeglossaries" in TeXnicCenter

Post by RandallTPaton »

Hi All,

I have scoured the support docs, google, and every other avenue trying to figure out why my glossaries don't appear in my compiled document. What I have noticed is that the .glo and .acn files are being created and populated when I compile but the .gls and .acr are not and consequently my glossaries are not being inserted by the relevant \printglossaries command.

When I use makeglossariesGUI the document compiles fine however, I am developing a LaTeX style for my students to use and would far prefer that that makeglossaries batch file be run during the compile run as most of them are new to LaTeX and we, as a school, want to get as many of them to adopt the use of LaTeX and thus want to keep things as simple as possible.

I am using a complete installation of MikTeX 2.9 with TeXnicCenter RC1 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with ActivePerl 5.14.2 Build 1402 installed. I have configured my build profiles to include the makeglossaries postprocessing command as per Nicola Talbot's detailed Know How article (http://www.latex-community.org/know-how ... d-acronyms).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Randall T. Paton
