Source File lost while Autosaving

Post by SamAc »

I just went to compile a document, it started autosaving, and then LEd crashed. Upon restarting it, I found that the .tex file was now completely blank.

Search for a backup file(possibly with suffix *.tex~). Consider to use another editor like TeXworks that runs stable.

How am I (as a Linux user) supposed to know? Just try. Your machine won't explode.
