Configure Kile for inverse search

Post by mariajulia »

Hello

I'm using TeXlive on ubuntu 10.4, as editor: kile, viewer: xdvi.

I'm trying to configurate kile to be able to use inverse search. Probably the problem is in the definition of forwardDVIs embedded viewer, which I don't know how to change.

With settings:

viewDVI -> xdvi
quick build -> LaTeX+viewDVI
forwardDVI -> embedded viewer

reverse search works, but quick build opens the document on its first page and forwardDVI opens the file on the right page but in Okular.

If I change quick build to LaTeX+forwardDVI, it opens in Okular (on right page)

If I change forwardDVI to xdvi, quick build opens xdvi as embedded viewer (on its firts page) but forwardDVI resultes with
[forwardDVI] file.dvi(xdvi)
[forwardDVI finished wiht exit code 1
It seems that for the moment forward search works with Okular and reverse search with xdvi. I would like to have one viewer for those two options, but I don't know how to change the configuration of embedded viewer for forward DVI.

If anybody has an advice, I'll be very thankful

Greetings
