General ⇒ Error with 1 Beta 7.01

Hi all,

I tried to run the new version of TeXnicCenter I always came up with the error attached. That error occure three times with these three files:
base.xml
math.xml
tex.xml

Any suggestion

Hi!

Just an idea - but have You installed the (recommended)

Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) Service Pack 2

from the TeXnicCenter-Homepage?

Maybe deleting all prior versions and a clean install will help!?

Thanks Kris..... I did all that but no luck..... Finally I opened all three XML files and remove the tag encoding="ISO-8859-1" then everything goes just fine

I cannot see the error.PNG attachment but supposedly we were facing the same problem. TeXnicCenter 1 Beta 7.01 and 1.0 RC1 on some recently installed Windows XP computers showed us 3 times the message that we need to install "Microsoft XML Parser" and that it was available on the TeXnicCenter homepage.

Removing the encoding="ISO... from the XML files did not help. Turned out that these recent XP computers only had MSXML 6.0 installed. We had to also install MSXML 4.0 SP2.

This should be available from MS as MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services)
