Hello,
I downloaded the overleaf projet for the Arsclassica article template and tried compiling it but I get this error :
Code: Select all
!pdfTeX error: pdflatex (file ec-iwonab): Font ec-iwonab at 480 not found
How can I solve it ?
Ed.

Hi Ed,
welcome to the forum!
You need to install the
Iwona font. Both TeX Live and MiKTeX provide a package with that name, that you can install using the package manager.

I have this font installed, so that's why I don't understand this issue. I have tried uninstalling this font and installing it again, but the issue still remains.

Just to be sure, did you install/reinstall the TeX Live or MikTeX pacage, or did you (re-)install the font with your operating system?
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

I reinstalled the MikTex package.

Perhaps you need to refresh the package database: Start > Programs > MiKTeX > Maintenance > Settings > General > Refresh FNDB.
Perhaps a font map file is missing. Then you could fix it by running
initexmf --mkmaps
at the command prompt (cmd
), additionally refresh the file name database as above.

I have no Refresh FNDB program on my computer. I ran this command, but it didn't solve my problem. Other ideas ?

The program I mean is "MiKTeX/Maintainance/Settings". There is a button labeled "Refresh FNDB", for refreshing the file name database. TeX doesn't simply find a file if it's created or copied there, it maintains a database for quick access.
Alternatively you could do this on the command prompt (cmd), running the command
mktexlsr
.
