Index title lower than chapter heads

Post by Steen »

I use the index package and changed the one instance of \section* to \chapter*, but the chapterhead (still) appears to be a bit lower than other chapters in my document, notably bibliography and chapter* names. How can I put them all at exactly the same height? Is this due to the \twocolumn command?

Long time ago... but did you solve the problem? If so, I really like to know how!

Thanks,

DEscribing the problem with a few words is not enough. There is a reason for the behaviour and it is within your code. Please post a minimal working example for us to reproduce the issue.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
