Reference in the form of [1-3,6,9-10]

Post by oozypal »

I am using this template for my PhD (http://www.latextemplates.com/template/ ... ral-thesis)

It works fine. I just need to make the reference somewhat like IEEE. Now, if I do multiple references, I get [1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10].

Is it possible to make it as [1-3,6,9-10]?

I would say use style ieee if you want a style like IEEE, but i guess you are really looking for numeric-comp, since what you want does not conform with IEEE.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

If I use the IEEE style, I will break the template and lose its nice features. Anyhow, the numeric-comp style worked fine except for one cite, it did it like [136, 137]. Thx.
