I love this format!

I am using Ubuntu and I am getting a lot of errors. I downloaded the extra packages that I needed but I am still having trouble.

I get an error which says that I need to be running XeTeX. Do you know how to fix this?

Hi,

You need to set your LaTeX compiler to XeLaTeX as this template requires it. Search for how to do this if you don’t see an option to do it easily.

If you use Kile (a LaTeX editor for Linux) you can compile with XeLaTeX by using the Build > Compile > XeLaTeX option.

One way to install fontspec and other necessary files is by using the texlive-xetex package.
