Can't use fourier package

Post by michey_n »

'm using ubuntu 12.10, and there is no texlive package manger(tlmgr) in ubuntu, so I have to install packages manually. I wanted to install the fourier package so I downloaded it from http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/fourier-GUT and followed the instructions in the README and installed it. When I tried to use the package, Texmaker doesn't throw an error but it doesn't build the pdf file. Then I re-installed the package but this time I noticed that when I run the

Code: Select all

make install-all
there are some errors come out like:

Code: Select all

make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
make: [install-min] Error 1 (ignored)
Please help I'm new to latex :)

Can't use fourier package

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you want to install TeX Live so that you have tlmgr, you can use

https://github.com/scottkosty/install-tl-ubuntu

Note that it does a full install by default but you can use the --profile option for a custom install.
