General ⇒ Spell check

Hi all,

I write documents in English or in French. I've downloaded the French dictionary from OOo. However, when I change the spelling language it doesn't work. I do need to change my default language and restart TexniCenter to make it effective. Is that the right procedure to switch among languages?

BTW:I'm still a rookie in LaTex.
