Forward Search fails

Post by Kristie15 »

Hi,

I've just installed TeXnicCenter and want to synchronize it with Sumatra PDF. I followed the instructions I had found, but when I wanted to open the document in Sumatra PDF, this appears.

I really don´t know how I should fix it. These are the options I used.

Thank you for your help :)

Note that you need to activate SyncTeX as compiler option to enable forward and inverse search. In the attachment you can find the settings as done by TXC 2.02 after installation or restart of the wizard (lower left corner) to rebuild the profiles for the compiler and the viewer.

Best regards and welcome to the board

I don't know. I only start Wind0ws in exceptional cases like this to test solutions. The shown settings work just fine for me. Perhaps you also want to take a look at corresponding DDE commands for Sumatra PDF in the wiki on the Google project hosting page.

Make sure that the compilation produces a proper PDF output. Check the log file (*.log) for irregularities like warnings and error messages which could prevent a proper compilation process.

Try with this for the "command" line:

[ForwardSearch("%bm.pdf","%Wc",%l,0,0,1)]

Also, "SUMATRA" is lowercase in my settings, but I don't know if it makes a difference.
