Compilation stalls

Post by Basin »

Having worked adequately for a few months, the TeXnicCenter (TXC) installed on my machine has suddenly refused to compile the document I'm writing. There have been plenty of warnings about labels that as far as I can tell are in place, and warnings that it can't find picture files (which then appear in the compiled document).

Here is an error in the transcript.

Code: Select all

Runaway argument?
[fig:electro
(error circle)! File ended while scanning use of \@newl@bel.
<inserted text>
                \par
1.8 \begin{document}
Sorry if this is a bit confused, I find TXC something of a black box. Is it clear what I've done wrong?

Hi Basin,

Welcome to the LaTeX community!

Without a Infominimal working example it is impossible to be sure but this looks like you've forgotten a closing brace when you declared the label fig:electro. It should look like \label{fig:electro} in your source...

...furthermore I recommend to delete the aux file since the error resides within this file.
