Opening PDFs

Post by avp3000 »

Hello,

How do I set winedt to open a pdf after compiling it at the same place, where I looked at the last time before the edition. When I edit slides and I change something at slide 30, it's really anoying to have to scroll down each time you compile the document. I'm not sure, whether this is from WinEdt or Acrobat Reader. In Acrobat, I have set an option to open a pdf at the same place where I had closed it, however that doesn's seem to work when the document is being compiled and open again. The funny thing is that when I installed the MikTex distribution on another computer, it was automatical.

Thank you,
Alexander

Try options->execution modes

Then select pdftexify or whatever on the left and check the box in the middle that says "forward search".
