MikTeX 2.5

Post by barnie »

Hi,

after losing almost a whole night's sleep I'm a little bit frustrated: I tried to update from MikTeX 2.4 to 2.5. It ended with the known problem "The operation could not be completed for the following reason:
Migration failed for some reason." (see http://www.miktex.org/2.5/Issues.aspx)

I tried the alternative Plan: " Alternatively, you can remove (uninstall) MiKTeX 2.4 and install MiKTeX 2.5." And imagine how I was pleased to see after finishing downloading (Basic MikTeX) and almost the installation the very message. Before I download and try to install the full version: Is there any hope that it would work better? It's becoming annoying.

barnie, reinstalling 2.4 again...

I would wait until Monday when MikTeX 2.6 will be released.

Got the point.

The ability to read would be useful sometimes. :-)
