MiKTeX and proTeXt

Dear All

I am new latex beginner, I read an example and I wanted to try it,, but I received that xcolor.sty is not found,,, I downloaded the Xcolor package,,, it contains changelog, readme, xcolor2.pdf, xcolor.dtx, xcolor.ins, xcolor.pdf

I updated the mixtex 2.9 again, and compiled my file,, but still I receive the xcolor.sty is not found,,, so what should I do??

Please help!

Just install the package with the MiKTeX Package Manager [1]. Should be somewhere under »Programs« in the »Start« menu.

Dear all,

I've been having the same problem with xcolor.sty; in addition, I'm having problems with the xcolor package; I've tried to install it form miktex Package manager, but it has not been aloud to install. When I try, the following message appears:

The operation could not be completed because the following file failed verification:

C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Local\Temp\mikD3A5.tmp

I'll appreciate if you can help me on this.
