General ⇒ Can't add dictionaries

I can't seem to be able to add new spelling dictionaries in Texniccenter. I've downloaded the swedish dictionary and placed the files sv.aff and sv.dic in \languages\

But when I restart Texniccenter and go to tools->options->spelling, the option to choose swedish isn't there. How come?

I'm using stable 1.0 candidate 1.

I am having the same problem. I add the files .aff and .dic in the folder /Language in the installation folder but I can see the new dictionary charged. Do you know why this problem happens?

hi,

same here. I saw that for the languages that are available in the TeXnic interface there are .dll files in the language directory. Maybe one would need one of those for other languages as well to make it work but it does not say so in the doc.

I had same problem. I just find solution. I think there are some changes in new version of TeXnicCenter so now you must add dictionaries to

Code: Select all

%path%\TeXnicCenter\Dictionaries\

folder (not to ..\Language).
