Decision Guidance ⇒ Editors with label management besides WinEdt

I have been using WinEdt for the last few years, and I really like the way that it manages labels and citations, allowing you to select them from a list. However, I really dislike some other aspects of WinEdt, so I'm thinking of switching to another editor.

In particular, one thing I dislike about WinEdt is that the process for compiling a document is cludgy -- if there are errors, you have to first exit out of the error list before recompiling. I would prefer to be able to just hit one keyboard command to make the editor exit the error messages and then recompile, or at least have an attempt to compile when an error message is showing cause the process to terminate.

For short documents, I like TeXWorks, with its integrated pdf viewer and smoother compilation procedure, but its lack of label/reference management and lack of tabbed file viewing make it tough to use for big projects. Other than that, it has all the features I need.

What are some other editors that run on Windows and feature good label and reference management? Thanks.

I just downloaded TeXstudio and played around with it for 10 minutes or so. It is a really excellent piece of software as far as I can tell. Much better than WinEdt or TeXWorks. The reference manager works fine. The integrated pdf viewer works fine. The compilation process is smooth -- you don't have to hit an extra command to exit compilation after an error and before compiling. The automatic insertion of a close parenthesis when I type an open parenthesis is wonderful, and may save me a lot of time and frustration as I TeX up my dissertation in the coming year -- I have lost countless hours tracking down incorrectly matched parenthesis.

Installation was a snap, too. It found my LaTeX files automatically. Thank you so much for pointing this editor out to me. I hope its long-term performance is at least as good as my initial impression.
