TXC 2.0 Alpha 4 | Project Files do not open by Double-click

Post by Chrome »

Hi,

thanks for the ongoing work on the new version. Unfortunately, I found a small but very annoying issue: I cannot open .tcp files anymore directly from the windows explorer (e.g., by a double click), but I have to first open TXC and then select the .tcp file via the open|project menu item afterwards.

I tried the following things to solve this:
  • Deinstallation of TXC 1 and deletion of file associations in the registry: No change
  • "Open with command" or file assocations dialog: In this case nothing happens after I selected TXC executable
Maybe there is an easy workaround?

Bye and thanks in advance, Chrome

It works here. Try reinstalling?

I tried that several times, too (didn't mention it in my first post) - no effect. But good to know that this is not a general issue. I run it under Win7 64-Bit.

Have you tried to delete all TeXnicCenter related entries below HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications

Before I did delete them I was not even able to assign TCP files to TeXnicCenter.exe in the Open With... dialog.
