How do I enable getting an email notification for a thread started by me or thread I have posted in?

I think the respective entries in the FAQ Section "Topic Subscriptions and Bookmarks" will give you the answer [1]. I wouldn't know how to explain it better.

I was looking for an option that would allow me to do it automatically

In the FAQ Section "Topic Subscriptions and Bookmarks" that I already mentioned there are more items than just the one I referred to. You can subscribe to every topic that you want.

Hi mahaju,

you can automatically subscribe to each topic where you posted. Just go to the User Control Panel, choose the tab Board preferences, and click Yes for "Notify me upon replies by default".
