I'm using Kile on Ubuntu too, though I also tried WinEdt with Windows XP and I liked WinEdt, but I deleted Windows etc. because I could work very well with Linux.
My predecessor here where I work was a "Windows-only" person, while all the developers work in Linux. I have generated content in both and actually prefer Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), so when this opportunity came along, I jumped at it. KILE on Ubuntu does the job I need it to do to get my work done.
