Hi,
I've been troubled by a bibtex problem. After I deleted all the auxiliary files, renamed the main tex file, and rerun it, bibtex fails to recognize any changes associated with .bib file. The resulting Reference remains unchaged even if I removed some of the citations in the text. It seems that bibtex only remembers the older .bib file and its connection with the text??
I'll really appreciate it if anyone can help.
Thanks,
Andie
BibTeX, biblatex and biber ⇒ .bib file ceases to change
Re: .bib file ceases to change
Salut,
Have you already tried delete the .BBL file? It contains all entries written in .BIB file but converted in \bibitem format and will be recreated when you run Bibtex.
Hope this helps

Re: .bib file ceases to change
Hi there,
Yes, I did. Actually, TexLive stops to generate .bbl file any more after I create new .tex and .bib files... Just odd..
Thanks,
Hongbo

Now I know what's going.

But I found my TexLive 2011 didn't come with TexnicCenter. I just installed it on my computer and change the setting as instructed at http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~eva/texniccenter.html. But it's not working. Actually, I was sure if I had configured the back end in a correct way.
It looks like I'm only one step away from the solution. So maybe someone can help me out here.
Thanks,
Andie
