Hi good folks;
TeXnic works good, and it compiles both DVI and PDF-files alright.
However, as soon as I try to use some packages, such as "color" or "graphicx", PDF refuses to compile. Only DVI compilation works. I'm using MikTex 2.9.
It's possible to work with a dvi-file, but it would be even better to have a pdf!
Anyone knows what it is with these packages that comes in the way of PDF compilation, please?
I have done some research on this forum, and found somebody that had the same problem as I, back in 2009, and here is the answer that she got:
"It seems that you have given the dvips driver option to the graphicx package which forces the output of a DVI file. Omit any driver options in the list of the document class or any other package...
Options are given to packages... The issue that is bugging you will probably be the dvips option given to one of the packages color/xcolor, graphicx or hyperref... Check your preamble for this dvips option given to one of the mentioned packages."
This has left me even more confused:
People,
How do I change the "dvips option" given to a package?
How do I "check the preamble for the dvips option given to a package"?
Someone please help.
Thank you
Jean
