When I joined I couldn't think of a good user name. The one I chose was really supposed to be sarcastic-like (or something like that) - after years of working tech support lines and calling all the people who contacted me stupid (not to their face, mind you), I figured the tables were turned.
But sarcasm never quite translates so well over the interweb and it seems my name bothers some people. Is it possible to change it?
Thanks.

It's always good to think before acting. Contact the Board Administrator.

Re: Change User Name
If board rules do not restrict the number of accounts owned by an individual, I would change my email address for stupiduser to a less active one. Then I would create a new LaTeX Community account account using my regular email address. After you were positive that there is no longer activity on the stupiduser account, you could close it.

Change User Name
It is not allowed to register more than one account. And following such advice is far from being recommendable. IPs can be tracked very easy and associated with one or more accounts. Furthermore it is no problem to contact the administrator. It would be not the first time that a user account is renamed.sitex wrote:If board rules do not restrict the number of accounts owned by an individual, I would change my email address for stupiduser to a less active one.
