How can I avoid jumping to the menu bar, when pressing "Alt"

Post by ferdi999 »

Hi everybody,
can someone tell me how to avoid jumping to the menu bar, when pressing the "Alt" button? Every Tex Command is achieved by pressing "Alt" and "Control". So everytime I type such a command in the Texnic-Center, the cursor jumps to the menu bar.
If I can´t solve this bug, the Texnic-Center is completly useless for me, so thx to everyone, for a solution.

If it's not too late for an answer - what you're talking about is not a bug: It is a property of Windows itself. Every time you press Alt (without combining it with any other keys), the focus will turn towards the menu bar. Try doing it in any other program you've got on your computer - it does the same.

But I don't see why it is a problem? -When you use a key-combination, you do not only press the Alt button - so it should not go to the menu bar...
