Post by Daroox »

hi,
i been trying to produce some pdf presentation, and found a presentation example somewhere thats using the following components:
mdwslides.tex

fltfonts.def

i tried to run this document using TeXnicCenter. I get error message that these components were not found. So i decided to install it myself. My problem: where should copy these files to? I hope could made my problem clear. Would be grateful for suggestions.

Hi Daroox,

Maybe that is not the answer for your question, but why not try the prosper package?
http://amath.colorado.edu/documentation/LaTeX/prosper/

There is also another package for presentations called Beamer:
http://latex-beamer.sourceforge.net/

I hope it can help you.

Paulo.

I think that Beamer is the best package to make PDF-presentations.

The prosper class (and the bug fixing package HA-prosper) is obsolete and should not be used. It has been replaced by the powerdot class. Use this to get fast results. Note that you have to compile your documents with LaTeX -> PS -> PDF. For precious looking presentations use the beamer class.
