Geometrical figures program for Windows

Post by valefor »

Hi

I have searched the net to find how i will include geometrical figures(triangles, circles, etc) in my document. The only easy solutions i found, were prorams for linux.
Is there an easy-to-use program for Windows that i can make geometrical figures?

Take a look at Geogebra, that may suit your needs. You can export figures as image files (PNG, PDF, EPS etc.) or as either Tikz or PSTricks code.

You could just use TikZ or pstricks code directly in your document to create the images.

However, if you want a GUI for drawing vector graphics which can be exported to various formats LaTeX can handle. check out also Inkscape, which is cross-platform. I'm curious what linux apps you found that were not also available for Windows however. Since most linux apps are open source, they usually end up getting ported to other operating systems. (If not, you could always run linux in a virtual machine. ;) )
