Hi to all,
I want to insert some references (articles, proceedings-publications and also books) into my bib-file.
If I start typing "@arti..." (for article) TeXnicCenter automatically offers me the fields for the article entries.
But doing the same with "@book.." does not work.
Do I have to write all the fields for the book everytime myself, or is there also an auto-complete-option for the books?
Thanks in advance
Pepe

Re: bibtex: @book-fields
Hi Pepe,
No you don't have to write *all* fields just the mandatory ones. For @book entry the mandatory fields are: author or editor, title, publisher, year.
For more information you may look at this reference: ftp://ftp.ctan.org/tex-archive/info/bib ... ttb_en.pdf
Hope this helps......

Try this bit of software called JabRef http://jabref.sourceforge.net/. It is open-source and it is very easy to use. You can use an existing bib file or create a new one.
It needs Java installed and is supposed to work on Windoze, Linux and Mac OSX.

Thanks to both.
I will have a closer look to the jabref-tool. Looks interesting...
