MiKTeX and proTeXt ⇒ update / downloading

Hello!

I've a problem. I tried to download updated packages via miktex package manager.
And this was the result:

the problem is, that i started to download packages earlier this day but i had to cancel it.

what could be the problem?

ps: i'd used the following file: setup-2.5.2545.exe

i can't say what is the real problem. But i would suggest you to download and install the complete version rather then basic version of MikTex. Then you wont need any downloading ...

Hi Noctilux!

You're using the MiKTeX Net-Installer (setup-2.5.2545.exe),
which downloads all packages for offline installation...
but there's no need for downloading all packages, if You're
connected to the internet!

To update Your running system, You just have to call

START => Programs => MiKTeX 2.5 => Update

and specify an MiKTeX 2.5 repository on the internet!

If You wan't to - You can use the Net-Installer of MiKTeX!

You have to:

1) start setup-2.5.2545.exe with the options download => complete
2) create a path like c:\my_local_MiKTeX_repository
3) wait for the download
4) call START => MiKTeX 2.5 => Settings => Packages => Package repository [Change]
and use Your local path c:\my_local_MiKTeX_repository

Now, MiKTeX will install packages from Your local repository and You can update Your local repository by
starting again setup-2.5.2545.exe with the options download => complete!
But to update Your MiKTeX installation You still have to call START => Programs => MiKTeX 2.5 => Update,
cos' the running installation and the package repository of MiKTeX 2.5 are not the same!
