I was wondering if a kind of "official" (or at least some widely used template for a) LaTeX-signature exists? By signature, I mean something like:
This document was compiled
using LaTeX on a Linux/Mac/Win platform
March 10th 2010 by "Name"
Maybe combined with the Linux Pengiun "Tux" for the users of Linux.
Of course I could just write what ever I want on the very last page, but I was wondering if there is a common way of doing this.
Thx for inputs

No, why would there be. A typesetting system is supposed to do its job and keep out of the way otherwise.

Wow... Yet another positive reply.
If LaTeX, and all the contributing developers, are as serious as you suggest, can you tell me why the \PHplumedHead or \MartinVogel has ever found its way into the commands?

Each package author makes their own judgement on what is useful. For example, for many years REVTeX added "Typeset by REVTeX" to the output by default (I think this has changed in more recent releases). LaTeX2e itself does try to keep out of the way (although the lack of design hooks rather undermines this idea).
