TeXShop ⇒ Text Replacement

Does anyone know how to keep the Substitutions>Text Replacement checked in the "on position" so that it stays that way as the default. I love text replacement, but find that having to keep turning it on every time I open a document to be quite a pain. There must be a way to do this???
