Problems using the "Next Error" button

Post by henrikgh »

Since I updated my TeXnicCenter-installation to 1.0RC1 the "Next Error" button no longer highlight the actual error in the document window, only in the log-output. I manually have to locate the error in the code now which is very time consuming.

This was not a problem in the earlier version, can please somebody help me??

Regards,
Henrik

This might be a problem when the error is a follow up. I don't remember if it worked in Beta 7.50 and I never faced this problem in the current version. I must admit that nowadays I rarely use TXC.

I have the same problem, but not with all files. Some files it works perfect from the first until the last line. At some file it works only for the first 500-1000 Lines and than error are only highlighted in the output windows and sometimes i have files it does not work for the complete file. And in this case the errors are non follow up.
In the case it does not work for errors it also does not work for warnings and overfull/underfull hboxes.

I think it is a general problem.

I'm not sure what a follow up is, but anyway TXC does it all the time in my case... I did not experience it with any of the older versions I have used! Takes a while to correct errors in a project of 25.000 lines now, but guess I can only hope it is corrected in the next update.

Regards and thank you for your comments,
