I have written 2 engineering textbooks and numerous scientific articles using \usepackage{amsmath,amsfonts,amssymb,amsthm}
I like the way the math and "regular" fonts are coordinated (same boldness, same height, nicely mathch each other),...but,
I need to change the font for the 2nd edition of one of my books, to differentiate it from the 1st edition.
How do I change the font while still working withing the family of AMS fonts ? is that possible? or else, what can I do?

Hi,
depending on your requirements, there are several options available; take a look at the fonts section in CTAN.
A personal suggestion: kpfonts.
